Where Real Life, Psychology and Spirituality Intersect: SEEKING

As we start this journey “At The Crossroads” I am taken aback by this being a new beginning, at such an important time in our country and worlds history.  

My desire is to offer reflections that will support our Seeking’s in life. Let us journey together!  

I was recently blessed to be a co-facilitator of a   retreat experience with a graced filled friend of   many years, Sr. Karen, entitled “Seeing with New Eyes”  

Our feeling in preparation for this retreat was that after the months that we have  all recently experienced, people would be hungering for a reset into HOPE.  

During a lunch break I was approached by a young man, who shared his  appreciation for being able to be apart of the days events. He went on to share  that he was drawn to the title of the retreat as his reason to come.  

“ I now have new eyes to see”…. he went on to share that “ I have spent the  last 3 years, each day with my mother in a hospital room, as we watched her life  slip away before our eyes” He shared that to his amazement, it was in the pain  of this journey that his eyes were opened through a personal touch of  closeness, love and grace that he experienced in a life changing way.  

This young mans story reflects a true reality…that in life, sometimes we are the  Seeker, and sometimes through life experiences we are the ones being Sought  after by the Divine.  

These are the Crossroads of Life! Let’s journey together!
